WAYNE HILLS MAKES STATEMENT WITH 72-56 WIN OVER WAYNE VALLEY!

Wayne,N.J….. Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley fought tooth and nail for three quarters, but a big 4th quarter helped Wayne Hills pull away for a 72-56 win!

Wayne Hills had a balanced attack as even though leading scorer Senior Justin Hodge only managed 6 points Hills still had four players in double-figures led by Junior guard Joey Belli(far right) who scored 16 points and dished out 7 assists and Junior Justin Wills(right) who scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half! Junior Jason Modak scored 10 points and pulled down 12 rebounds and Junior Pat Gilmore chipped in 12 points and 7 boards! Wayne Hills established themselves as a real player in the quest for a Passaic County title! Leading 46-43 entering the 4th, Hills outscored Wayne Valley 26-13 including a 19-4 run at one point! Sophomore guard Mark Howell was impressive for Valley as he led them in scoring with 20 points! Junior Jared See added 19 points and 9 rebounds for Valley!
