WEDNESDAY FALLBALL RESULTS: HUDSON CATHOLIC, NEWARK EASTSIDE, ROSELLE CATHOLIC AND GILL ST. BERNARD GET WINS!

Kennedy H.S. Paterson, NJ… With three of the four games going to the wire, Wednesday FallBall League sponsored by the Playaz Basketball Club and Paterson Recreation had tight competitive games with game winning shots in two of them! Senior Safee Sabur’s basket in sudden death O.T. gave Hudson Catholic a  39-37 win over St. Benedict’s! Senior guard J.R. Lynch has had a terrific Fallball season thus far and his 14 points led the Hawks! Sophomore Arnaldo Toro led Benedicts with 9 points!Down one, Junior Ahmad Harrison hit a “triple” from the left corner with 27 seconds to give Newark Eastside a come from behind win over St. Anthony’s 39-38! Boston U commit Cheddi Mosely led Anthony’s with 16 points! Roselle Catholic rolled past Teaneck 66-50 as Junior Isaiah Briscoe led the way with 19 points and an abundance of dimes to his teammates! Junior Pierre Sarr scored 10 points, while Junior Chris Silva and Sophomore Asante Gist each scored 8 points! Junior Ceasar DeJesus led Teaneck with 17 points! The player of the night had to be Gill St. Bernard’s Sophomore Tyus Battle! The #11 ranked 2016 player by Rivals.com put on a show as he led Gill St. Bernard to a 52-49 win over Paterson Eastside! Battle scored 35 points in the game, scoring from inside and out and willing his team to the win! Leading by one with 7 seconds his two free throws gave GSB their final margin! Junior wing Asem Johnson played exceptionally well, scoring 22 points for Eastside!
