ZARKA’S “TRIPLE” LIFTS WAYNE VALLEY OVER PASSAIC VALLEY 59-56 IN O.T.!

Little Falls,N.J… Senior John Zarka’s three point shot at the buzzer in overtime gave Wayne Valley a 59-56 win over Passaic Valley!

Wayne Valley had led the entire contest until Passaic Valley’s run late gave them an opportunity as Senior Jihad Wright’s layup with 3.1 seconds of regulation sent the game into overtime at 51! Wayne Valley was led by Senior Nick Goodwin who scored 19 points and 13 rebounds! Senior Nick Giuliani scored 13 points and Zarka and Senior Alex Kokas each added 9! The overtime was close as Sophomore Dylan Mulrooney made a three point play to tie the game at 56! That set up the game winner as Wayne Valley milked the clock, got it to Goodwin(bottom right) who kicked it on the double team to Zarka(right) for the game winner! Mulrooney led Passaic Valley with 17 points, Wright scored 13 points, Junior Tito Ramirez finished with 11 and Senior Tymier Belton scored 8 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Passaic Valley!
