GROUP 2 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS: NEWARK TECH EDGES CAMDEN 57-51!

Rutgers University,N.J… Don’t let the double digit losses fool you as Newark Tech has played one of the toughest schedules in the state and them being battle tested proved to be the difference! Mustafa Lawrence scored 28 points, Jordan Zagadou added 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked 3 shots and Newark Tech outscored Camden 22-10 in the 4th quarter to beat them 57-51 and become the Group 2 State Champions! Camden led by as much as 7 44-37 on a free throw from Myles Thompson with 6:51 in the 4th! Newark Tech took the lead for good on two free throws from Lawrence to make it 52-50! Camden was led by Rasool Hinson with 17 points! Newark Tech improved to 16-13 while Camden finished the season at 25-8!
