AUSTIN COLBERT: ITS ILLINOIS !!!!!

  6’9 Power Forward Austin Colbert of Gill St. Bernard surprised a few people by choosing The Fighting Illini as his college choice over Seton Hall, Miami and Villanova! Colbert felt it was the best fit for him and Coach John Groce and his staff would best develop him! He felt each school would be a good choice academically and athletically and it came down to the wire but gave the edge to Illinois! It was thought that once Villanova came in late they would be the front runner but in the end Colbert had different ideas! Ranked #92 by Rivals.com Colbert is an athletic bigman who can get up and down the court with the best and has high energy which should fit perfectly with Illinois who like to get up and down the court! Austin thanked his coaches and especially his mother and father for their support throughout his career!
