JUST JUNE PLAYOFF RESULTS: EASTSIDE, KENNEDY HUDSON CATHOLIC AND TEANECK REACH SEMIFINALS!

Roberto Clemente School, Paterson,N.J…… The Playaz sponsored Just June League had it’s playoffs begin with four contests and in the end Paterson Eastside, Kennedy H.S., Hudson Catholic and Teaneck H.S. advance to the Semifinals Wednesday! DePaul Catholic gave Eastside a tough go of it in the 1st half, trailing by only four 22-18 but the Ghosts found themselves in the second half as they pulled away to a 57-43 win! Marquel Sheffield(far right) led Eastside with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Nassir Smith hit 3 big “triples” in the second half! Spencer Smith led DePaul with 19 points! Alphonso Gee and Javon Rawls each hit two free throws in double overtime to help Kennedy squeak by Newark Eastside 57-54! Aalim Jones(left) was the catalyst to the Knight’s win scoring 13 points! Hudson Catholic incoming freshman Jahvon Quinerly(right) scored 16 points, including 4 “triples” to offset the monster 19 point, 12 rebound, 4 block shot game that Bergen Catholic Kevin Marfo displayed as the Hawks held off the Crusaders in a 44-37 win! Teaneck was also led by an incoming freshman as  Ja’Quaye Jones(bottom right) superior floor game gave Teaneck a 41-21 halftime lead and they held off a Armoni Cradock led Don Bosco Prep rally to win 67-58!
