P.N.B.A. RESULTS: KNICKS AND SPURS TO PLAY IN”CHIP”!!

004Kennedy H.S. Paterson, N.J….. The P.N.B.A. inaugural season comes to an end with the Spurs taking on the Knicks for the “CHIP”! Each team is named after a professional team and these two won in hotly contested, well played games with both games going down to the wire! The league which stands for Paterson Needs Big Brothers Assistance has been pretty successful for it’s first year!

The Knicks got a surprising hero in the game as ex-Kennedy H.S. player Kadeem Davis(top) came off the bench and scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds,but more importantly hit the biggest shot of the game with a “triple” late in the contest! Ex Cincinnati U stud Rashard Bishop led the Knicks with 25 points,7 rebounds and 4 assists. Ex-Kennedy star Bashir Grimes(right) also came up big for the Knicks with a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards! Their play overcame the great game played by Ex Eastside H.S. star John Carter who scored 27 points with 7 rebounds and 5 steals

         The Spurs had control of the game early, lost the lead and momentum then got themselves together to pull off a 82-78 win! The Spurs team out of Newark might have the most balance of any team and it was no different in this game as 6 players sco006red in double figures! They were led by Omari Knox with 17 points and Antoine Obery(right) who scored 16 points, grabbed 8 boards and was a defensive problem the entire contest! They withstood the Blazers 28 points by Ex- Kennedy star Shondel Stewart and the 15 points from Ex-Paterson Catholic star Sydir Mitchell! Big Hassan {Big City) Belton had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Blazers!

 

 

 

NOTE:  Tim Thomas is scheduled to dress for the Knicks in the Championship game!
