Dwight Englewood Tops Cresskill 48-35!
Englewood Cliffs, N.J……For three quarters the game seemed to be a toss up! Although Dwight-Englewood led most of the game, Cresskill was always in striking distance! Going into the 4th, the score was 37-33 in favor of Dwight-Englewood! Then the basket closed on Cresskill! They could only manage 2 more points in the game as D-E played strong defense and Cresskill could not make a open or contested shot! Dwight-Englewood got a total team effort, led by 6’6 Senior Wes Dickinson! The swingman(right) put together a double-double with an efficient 14 point, 10 rebound effort to go along with 3 assists and 2 blocked shots! He got help from Junior Robbie Zeller and Junior Keion Osbourne! Zeller scored 13 points and was 6 for 6 from the foul line, while Osbourne(left) scored 11 points with 3 “triples”! With D-E taking a 20-19 halftime lead, Dickinson assisted on three”triples” going into the 3rd with Osbourne making two and Sophomore Austin James connecting on the other! The quick run kept Cresskil at a slight distance and gave Dwight-Englewood the opportunity to stay ahead and keep the lead!
