Anderson Reaches 1,000th Career Point!

 Englewood H.S. senior Zachary Anderson scored 11 points against Ridgefield Park and in the process reached a milestone as he scored his 1,000th career point in the process. Hoops Journal would like to congratulate Zachary on his accomplishment and hope he can continue his basketball career after highschool.

Paterson Catholic Reaches 20 Wins and Move Back To #6 By U.S.A. Today!

 Saddle Brook……………Paterson Catholic won their 20th game without a defeat and moved back to #6 in the country by U.S.A. Today Super 25. Tonight was an easy win over Saddle Brook H.S. 90-45 as the Cougars starting cast raced out to a big lead and then let their reserves take care of the rest. Sophomore Kyle Anderson led the starters with 11 points and 6 rebounds, while senior Jermaine Peart added 10 points. Junior Myles Mack had 8 points 5 assists and 4 steals in his minimal time on the court. P.C. also got solid play from seniors Fuquan Edwin, Jayon James and junior Derrick Randall. The two players that shined the most was senior Davon Daniels(pictured) and freshman Reggie Cameron. Daniels scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Cameron contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. The task for this team right now is to take one game at a time and stay focused on the task at hand . The first being the Passaic County Tournament.

Passaic Valley Gets Back To Their Winning Ways Over P.C.T. 58-56! Passaic Gets Revenge On Wayne Valley 55-52!

Little Falls…………. Passaic Valley shook off their weekend loss in the Passaic County Tournament to DePaul H.S. by overcoming a 28 point effort by junior Xavier Nieves and holding on to defeat Passaic County Tech 58-56! Mike Governali(pictured) knocked down 4 treys and scored 16 points to lead the Hornets. Anthony DiSanti added 11 points and Dom Coiro finished with 10. 

 

 

 

 

 Passaic ………. It was too little, too late, but Passaic H.S. got their victory over Wayne Valley H.S. 55-52. Passaic made up for their loss to W.V. in the Passaic County Tournament. Senior Gilbert Morales was the surprise for Passaic as he scored 10 points, including 2 treys. Senior Tyshon Pickett(pictured) led the Indians with 16 points, while Andre Dixon scored 12 and Reggie Pennie added 11. Senior Jason Rosenberg led Wayne Valley with 17 points  and senior Nick Siljee added 13. Junior Tom Larranga added 10.
