Paterson, N.J……Despite a strong effort from #9 Seed Passaic, Kennedy shook it off and pulled away late 83-60 in a North 1 Group 4 Quarterfinal contest! #1 Seed Kennedy got it done from a lot of players as Senior Jahmali Carnegie scored 17 points, Senior Deishon Harrison 16, Senior Mark Heber finished with 15 points, Sophomore Jay’Quan Briggs added 13 points and Senior Jalen Hargrove chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds! Passaic cut the lead to 45-38 late in the 3rd, but a layup by Harrison, a put back by Hargrove and a “triple” from Heber gave Kennedy another cushion! Senior Kendall Malloy 23 points and Junior Antrell Monroe 24 points led Passaic!

Ramapo, N.J….. Ramapo came back from a 10 point deficit to defeat River Dell in a 44-36 win in the North 1 Group 3 Quarterfinal contest! River Dell led at the half and went on a 9-0 run between the end of the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd to take a 28-18 lead! After a timeout, Ramapo went on a 9-0 run of it’s own and eventually tied the score at the end of the 3rd quarter at 31! Ramapo finally took the lead for good on a bucket from Senior Max Pernetti to give them a 33-31 lead and they held on the rest of the game! Junior Jason Keith led Ramapo with 14 points and 3 steals! River Dell was led by Mike Sirico with 10 points!

Paterson, N.J……In a North 1 Group 4 State Playoff #9 Seed Passaic outlasted # 8 Seed Eastside 60-52! Senior Tyreek Smith scored 15 points and hit two straight key”triples” in the 3rd quarter and Senior Cameron Sylvester added 14 points and went 7-8 from the line down the stretch to seal the win! Eastside trailed by as much as fifteen 35-20 and cut the lead to as little as 5 in the 4th but defensive plays by Christian Ortiz and Eduard Pierrot helped Passaic go on a 6-2 run late! Senior Josh Cash led Eastside with 18 points and Junior Levi Holton finished with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals!

KENNEDY 67 WEST ORANGE 50

Senior Deishon Harrison scored 21 points, Sophomore Jay’Quan Briggs added 13, Senior Mark Heber chipped in 12 and Senior Jalen Hargrove finished with 10 points as Kennedy finally took control of the game late in the 4th and pulled away to a 67-50 win over West Orange in a North 1 Group 4 Playoff game! Micah Moore led West Orange with 13 points and Gustav Hall added 12!

DEPAUL 80 ST. MARY 61

Senior Anthony Corbo scored 33 points, Senior John O’Reilly added 16 and Freshman Irv Watkins chipped in 14 as DePaul defeated St. Mary(Ruth.) 80-61 in a North Non-Public B Playoff game! Senior Robbie Phillips led St. Mary with 26 points!
