THREE-PEAT: TEANECK JAMBOREE CHAMPS 70-55!!!

Teaneck became a Three-Peat Champion of the Bergen County Jamboree by defeating arch rival Hackensack 70-55! “Chip” games usually bring out the best in big time players and Senior Joel Hernandez(pictured) played like a big time player! The 6’2 wing scored 28 points,with 18 coming in the 1st half as Teaneck took 012a 34-18 lead! His play was the catalyst for the Teaneck win! Senior Shakir Lindsey quarterbacked the attack to the tune of 9 assists to go with 13 points as he went 11-14 from the free throwline! Leading 18-16 to end the 1st quarter,the Highwaymen outscored Hackensack 16-2 in the 2nd quarter as they held them without a field goal! Hackensack tried to make it a game in the 2nd half as they cut the lead down to 47-40 in the middle of the 4th, but Teaneck went on a 7-0 run to push the lead back up to 14 and held that margin the rest of the way! Junior Rashard Figures led Hackensack in scoring with 20 points, but had only 5 in the 1st half and never got it going consistently! Senior Jaimik Moore added 14 points and 9 rebounds and Senior Keon Lewis chipped in 10 points for Hackensack! Junior Myles McLeod added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocked shots and Senior Devaunte Locadia came off the bench to score 8 big points!
