WEDNESDAY’S FALLBALL ACTION: ST. ANTHONY’S, NEWARK EASTSIDE, PATERSON EASTSIDE AND HUDSON CATHOLIC PREVAIL!

 Kennedy H.S., Paterson, N.J….. The Wednesday’s FallBall League sponsored by the Playaz Basketball Club and the Paterson Recreation had some quality games that resulted in St. Anthony’s, Newark Eastside, Paterson Eastside and Hudson Catholic coming away with wins! Senior Taran Smith(right) scored 17 of his 19 points in the first half and Junior Marcus McDuffie added 13 as St. Anthony’s ran past Gill St. Bernard’s 60-34 in the only game that wasn’t decided in the final minutes! Sophomore Tyus Battle led Gill St. Bernard’s with 14 points! Seton Hall commit Ismael Sanogo and Senior Akbar Hoffman each scored 13 points to lead Newark Eastside to a 43-36 win over St. Benedict’s! Senior Abdul Lewis added 10 for Eastside! St.Benedict’s was led by Lithuanian Junior Domantas Padlouskis who finished with 8 points! Paterson Eastside and Teaneck was in a dog fight the entire game, but Eastside behind Senior guard Zaheem Beal’s(left) 22 points outlasted the Highwaymen 62-59! Junior Asem Johnson added 13 points for the Ghosts! Senior Lavrone Green-Reels led Teaneck with 22 points, while Senior Corey Brown scored 19! In the most intense game of the night Hudson Catholic defeated the previously undefeated Roselle Catholic 52-44! Isaiah Briscoe scored 24 points for Roselle Catholic, but the balanced scoring of Hudson Catholic proved too much! Hudson Catholic had four players in double figures led by Senior guard J.R. Lynch and Senior wing Safee Sabur with 13 points each and Junior’s Sammy Friday and Adam Traore with 11 apiece!
